This course deeply explores the crucial intersection of
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Human-Computer
Interaction (HCI). It equips students with the skills to
design AI systems that seamlessly collaborate with,
augment, and adapt to human users. Students will learn
to create sophisticated, user-centered AI experiences
that thoughtfully balance automation with meaningful
human control, provide appropriate transparency using
techniques like LIME or SHAP, and accommodate
diverse user needs and capabilities across various
platforms, from web interfaces to embodied agents.
